Here in Ecuador they don’t celebrate "New Years"
instead we celebrate "The Old Year" which basically means they blow
everything up and light everything in sight on fire!!! I kid you not!
Have any old or leftover cloths? -Burn them
Have any paper in the house? -Burn it
Have any garbage in the house? -Burn it
Have some spare time? -Make something creative and burn it
Have some extra money lying around? Go buy a 7ft tall paper
model of some character/ superhero/ new movie/ etc.... fill it up with
explosives and destroy it
Yea I didn’t get to sleep until like 3:00am because
so many people were blowing stuff up!!
And then on Monday or "P-Day" literally not a
single store or business in the country was open. Including the Cybers we use
to write, so we had to change P-day basically and our President was afraid (or received
revelation) that something bad was going to happen so the entire mission wasn’t
aloud to leave the house yesterday.... basically we just stayed inside all day
talking and telling stories (and let me tell ya people, I got lots of them ;)
It’s been a pretty good week and I’m super excited for this Saturday
because we have 3 baptisms coming up!!!!!!! Yeah baby Familia Cabrera is going
to get baptized! And the best part is that my convert Xavier is going to
baptize his family!!
Love you all and hope you have the best 2018!!
Don’t forget to set lots of new goals and make PLANS to accomplish
them!!!!
MAKE THE GOAL TO READ THE BOOK OF MORMON DAILY A REALITY
THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love you all to bits and pieces; let me know if you have any
questions, concerns, or jokes ;)
My new years goal is to eat less rice ;P
